Accessibility Statement
Effective 4 September 2026
We want every licensed professional to be able to use this site, whatever technology they use to reach it. This is our standard and how we hold ourselves to it.
Our standard
We build this site to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard is our target for every page, and we treat a failure against it as a defect to be fixed rather than a preference.
What we do
- Semantic structure. Pages are built from real headings, lists and landmarks, so screen readers and keyboard users get a meaningful outline rather than a wall of undifferentiated text.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, and a skip link lets keyboard users jump straight past the navigation to the main content.
- Contrast. Text is checked against its actual background — including text set over photography and video — to meet or exceed the AA contrast ratio.
- Text alternatives. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Reduced motion. The site honours the operating-system "reduce motion" setting. When it is on, animation and scroll-triggered movement are switched off and content is shown in its final state.
- Video without sound. Video on this site is silent and decorative. It carries no spoken content, so no information is lost if it does not play.
- Readable at any size. Layouts reflow rather than break when text is enlarged or the window is narrow, and the site works on a phone as well as a desktop.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time audit. We re-check contrast, keyboard order and screen-reader output as pages change, and we fix what we find. Where a third-party component or an embedded service falls short of our standard, we work to replace or improve it.
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier on this site — something you cannot reach, read or operate — we want to know. Tell us through the contact form, including the page and what happened, and we will respond and put it right. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
